a HILL of a good time.........: June 2017

Being in continuous calendar school, we were still rounding out the school year in early June. I know, it really sounds terrible but it isn't bad at all. We get several weeks off during the year that are well needed and placed breaks!

Rise an Shine was all about KKids this week! Chaz LOVES this club! It is all about volunteering and he loves it!

You know what else we love? When it is warm enough to play in the water after school! And then to lay on the warm grass and soak it all in! Don't worry kiddos, it will be Summer soon enough!

And sometimes we had lovely evenings with friends... guess who's drink?!?! HAHA!

We decided not to enroll Dane in the Summer program at his PreK. He was officially done for the Summer and able to hang with me for a bit before Chaz's last day.

Which meant he joined me on my daily walks.... and sometimes needed a pit stop. HA!

And then there was this... I believe I have been promising I would fix this for at least a year. I decided it was time to follow through. No time like the present, right?!? My goal was to get this in the right state by the time Chaz's school was over...

He was there to "help" and always look so cute!!

And to join me when I went to get my nails done. I mean, if you give the kid an iPad and some ear phones, you can really accomplish anything!

And then there were afternoons like this. Sweet boy!

And when it was beautiful outside, we decided to soak it all in!

We got hair cuts.

And we enjoyed our friends in the sun! Ahhhhhh. THIS is my heaven.

I promise I wasn't just hanging outside all the time. I did get this done! I really felt like I had won a Mom of the Year award with this one!

It may not look like much but goodness, it was intense!

And then it was time...... SUMMER!!! Because we had the last day of school and the last day of PreK and the party.

We started out the summer on a great high! Chaz had made new friends in his baseball teammate Christopher and his brother Matthew. Fun fact, when I was ~~much~~ younger, I used to babysit these kiddo's momma! Her parents lived down these road from and are good friends with our family! What a crazy small world, right?!?!

While brother was with the boys above playing and swimming for the day, we spent the day with this cutie touring the Parade of Homes. Such a fun day!

AND yes, I totally want to build another house or three every time we go!.

Flooring for the office ceiling?!? Yes, please!!

This was upstairs in one as part of the man room... Perfecting your golf game! My hubs was in heaven.

Another pit-stop. I tell ya, this kid!

This was the beginning of my first full Summer with the boys since leaving the workforce and we were all VERY excited!

Some days were eventful and some highlighted with things like this boy coaxing us into buying him this super sweet hat. He loves his hats and is uber cute!!

Random play dates with buddies are always a blast! We are so blessed to live in a neighborhood with lots of kiddos for the boys to play with!

Relaxation and silliness abound!

Another afternoon walk and total randomness. This kid is an absolute riot!

And lovin' on his pup.

We finally got brother back from his sleepover and play day and decided to make our annual Summer sign!

I sh!t you not, this was about 2 second after the above picture was taken. Welcome to Summer, mom! Yes, they are in time out and forced to hold hands.

We had a lot of car sleeping while running errands!

And then we were back to this. *Stay strong, Momma*

Because sad, angry faces turn into this!

And there were many afternoons of playing in the water! SO much fun and SO much hair!

And sometimes you give your kids and their friends sour warhead candies because you need a good laugh!

Sometimes we would get bored.. and that meant we had to get out of the house and go do something... and sometimes that something HAD to be inside because the heat was a little crazy... So this day, we hit the movies!

NOT the most flattering picture of me but all the kids faces make me laugh so hard, so I will take one for the team here.

And about 10 minutes in, this was his face. I have to be honest, I may have snoozed as well. The movie, Cars 3, was quite terrible.

And then we ventured on to one of my favs. The lava car wash. I am not sure why we all love it so much but we do!

Oh and the hubs got a new ride! It was BEYOND time for him to get rid of his old ride. Isn't she pretty?!?!

We spent some days at my folks house, soaking up the sun!

And sometimes we roasted marshmallows in the driveway... isn't Summer wonderful!?!?

And after late nights, I wake to be trapped under this boy!

And when we are out and about, we swing by Meme's house just to be a little silly! Why not?!?

God love this woman!

I don't even know.

Some afternoons I got to play lifeguard. I am not complaining one bit!

And then this... He fell and hit his head. My stomach churns just looking at this goose-egg. It was SO bad!!!The pictures do NOT do it justice. Poor fellow!
