Spring Baseball // Chaz // Prospects // 2017

Spring (and summer/fall/winter) mean baseball in this house. Spring 2017 Chaz moved onto tournament ball with the Prospects team. We had a rough Spring but what was awesome was to watch him grow both as a player and a kid, learn humility (so hard for both them and us parents) and resilience. To say I am proud would be an understatement.
And I think he looks pretty cute studly in his uniform. Don't tell him his momma said that
We have known this little nugget since Chaz started playing ball many moons ago. Grant is one of my favs.
Little brother always tagged along to support. Baseball (and really any sport) siblings don't get enough credit.
These best friends and cousins were always there to cheer each other on!
Or threaten to squirt water at each other!
I seriously love the love these two have for each other!!
Sweetness.. Sometimes he just can't do it any longer.. Baseball weekends are LONG!
But he is SO worth it!
Even when you play tournaments and you are FREEZING! This face 😂
Learning some life stuff.
I was also amazed to see how fast he was. He has always been somewhat fast but he seriously just took off!
And talk about being out of your comfort zone. In the Fall he had a broken hand and was hardly able to play... and we were still in rec baseball. All of the sudden he was in tournament ball with kids who had played in it longer than he AND he was pitching... he took it all in stride and as a challenge.
More of those siblings. They always find something to do!
He was always SO dirty by the end of the day!
And when you get hit by a pitch, you get ice cream. I am told it is a thing. He opted for a snowcone.
And he got one too!
Another weekend, another field.
Yep, more ice-cream or snowcones coming your way!
I really do LOVE to watch him play. I hope after everything.. all the years, all the wins, all the losses, all the happiness and the pain, I hope he knows we LOVED to watch him play!
And this guy has proven to be something awesome himself. Chaz has had some great coaches over the years but this big guy has some heart! And he loves my kiddo!
He loves to watch him play too!
And he loves to hit against his cousin!
And sometimes your dad has to do push-ups because you scored a run. HA!
Still one of my favorite parts of the game... THAT was a pretty good weekend!
And if it isn't a game, it is practice. SUCH the trooper.
And some practices are cold so we hang out in the car.
He is so fun!
And some days just takes it clean out of you!
And some days you get a pick that wakes you earlier than a school day... ugh.
But if you get hit again, you get a snowcone
And some days you run into your BFFs at the field. It is awesome how so many can be on different teams but still support each other wholeheartedly. We could all learn something from kiddos.

Sometimes practices turn into fun picture days.
And fun end of the practice games and competitions! I love all the excitement on their faces!
Lil' bros.
Even the parents got into the fun!
So.Much.Fun!!
Funny how a simple picture at the park can turn into something fun like this! Obviously, there are some changes I would make (Why are they so far apart?!?!) But I still love it and these faces!
And then when the season is over, you get to let lose and have a pool party! THIS was a good day!
Yes, that is my boy! BAHAHAHA!
This isn't going to end well.....
Walking on water?!?
What is this?!?
This probably won't end well either.. Yikes!!
GOOOOO-BERS!!

Goobers and cupcakes are a great combo!
Even little bros were invited to play!
And sometimes you all wear the same trunks!
Fun bunch of boys!

Crazy and oh so fun!!
I love that little bro got involved in a little game of keep away!!
Sweet sisters were invited too!!
It wasn't an easy season but we certainly learned a LOT. We learned how to grow, how to be coachable, how to listen, how to learn. We also made some good friends. I am proud of these boys!
