Chaz bday- September 2010

For Chaz's 3rd birthday we decided to stay home from work and spend the day with him. We also decided to ask him what he wanted to do, I mean it was HIS day right? He said he wanted to go to the "jumpsalot" aka Jumpzone. Well, Jumpzone is in Bentonville and we just got a Boingo Bounce which is basically the same thing and only 5 minutes from our house. Boingo Bounce it is! Lindsay and Sidney decided to come up from Bella Vista and go to the "jumpsalot" with us. Chaz was so excited about seeing his cousin and going to "jumpsalot"
He was beside himself with excitement! I mean look at the picture below. His right eye is halfway closed, his eyebrows are raised to the top of his forehead and his grin is completely crooked. What causes this? JUMPSALOT!!!
I do have to pause and show you his adorable shoes that my cousin Jaclynn made for his birthday. We also let him choose his clothes for the day... These shoes, a razorback shirt and gym shorts.
Once we got there it was on.. we all stripped our shoes and complete anarchy ensued!! His daddy and him quickly found the biggest slide in the place!
He is three now so he can "Do it myself!" So we let him.. Climb up..
and go down...Sidney wasn't quite ready to go down all the big slides but she did find this really cute pink rocking horse. She brought it all the way to the middle of the floor and just rocked back and forth as all the "crazy" kids ran around her.. Even I got into the action. It was a lot of fun but all the slides were new and I was wearing my Adidas pants so I flew off the end of the slide almost every time.
Sid warmed up and found a place in a bounce zone, but she was very careful where she played. She didn't want to be ran over by all the "crazies" so she segregated herself in this little corner of the bounce zone. She was perfectly happy as long as nobody was in her "area." Absolutely hilarious! Her mommy played peek-a-boo with her!
Back to the HUGE slide. Chaz and Daddy raced. Technically Chaz won the race, my "photo finish" does not properly show the race results. All.by.himself. and he flew out of the slide too! We actually had a bloody nose from a face plant on the mat (not from the incident below) but he bounced back very quickly
Sidney petting the horse in the bouncy area! Chaz is a derivative of his daddy and can make friends with anyone. And today was no different. He made friends with this little cutey. They chased each other around all morning. Then they all decided to take a break. You realize playing is hard work, right??
Sid found it a bit more relaxing and hung out for a little longer.
Then we were off to Chick Fil A (or Chickplay as Chaz says) again his pick! He loves this place. The weather was amazing so of course we sat outside and ate lunch.
and he played a little bit.. Here he is actually taunting me "momma, you can't get me!!"

After naptime we decided to take Chaz to Target to use some of the gift cards he got for his birthday. He was allowed to pick out anything he wanted (within the price range of his gift cards) He quickly decided on a Handy Manny car where you can switch out the engine, wheels, spoiler, etc. and Phineas and Ferb talking dolls. The dolls were kind of dirty but he really wanted them, they were the only ones and who were we kidding to think they would stay clean for any length of time.. So Manny, Phineas and Ferb it was! He was pumped and I think it was my shortest Target trip to date!

For dinner Chaz wanted to go to JJs (a local place we LOVE) they have fried pickles which is basically his favorite! Gaga, Papa, Dah, Mah, Cameron, Marcy, Jackson, Campbell, Izzy and Feltcher all joined us for the party.. Chaz was so excited! Note: Phineas and Ferb..
Fletcher sat at the head of the table. Sally was out of town so she wasn't able to join us :(
We put all three boys at the end of the table together and they were so happy!
The boys started to get a little rowdy so Ryan (of all people) decided to come over and lay down the law. I had to take a picture because this is usually NOT something he does. Go Ryan!
Cameron and baby Campbell.
Chaz got a card from Mah and Dah that had a bunch of quarters taped to it. He had to count them! He got a pin that said "Cool kid" and he got a cool Toy Story card and gift card from Gaga and Papa. His excitement doesn't really show in this picture :)
FRIED PICKLES!!!
He asked Gaga to help him blow on the pickles. Look at the look of concern on his face. Such a cutie!
Before we went to dinner I knew I wanted to stop and get cupcakes. We have had great luck with the Harps by our house so we thought we would just stop by the one next to JJs and grab the kiddos some cupcakes. We got a white, red and black one.. Yes, a black one..
Chaz was so excited to finally get to blow out his own candle. Remember the past birthday's where the "crazed candle blowing out kid" attacked!! Example 1 Example 2
Finally....all to himself!
Fletcher got the white one..and Jackson got the black one.. yes, a black one. In my defense they only had three.. red.black.white
It did make for good pictures!
now you will notice when it was all said and done I had 3 cupcakes left. To be clear, I did notice that the icing was gone..but the cake remained. This wouldn't be shocking if it was just Chaz as he doesn't eat many sweets. But Jackson would have eaten it....IF it was edible. WHAT?? Yep, the cupcakes were most likely for display because the cake was hard as a rock. I didn't notice this when I bought them (obviously) but I did notice this when the kids abruptly stopped eating them after they had made it through the icing... Needless to say we took them back to Harps, like this.. Terrible mommy moment #34
Cam and the kiddos The grandpas oogling over the newest addition to the family!Mom rocking baby Campbell. So if you have been to JJs in Fayetteville you know there is an old truck on the back patio. This truck quickly became the boy's "toy" I couldn't help but snap so quick shots of them. They are good friends and all such hams.
Happy birthday to my sweet boy! Thank you to everyone who was able to share some of this precious day with us. We missed everyone who was unable to join. You are all so very special to us!!! Thanks again!
