You bust out of work right on time, rush home to put on multiple layers of clothes (you, kiddo and hubby) drive to Rogers, scarf down Chick-Fil-A and rush downtown to the annual Christmas day parade. (or A-prade as Chaz says) It was all of 23 degrees this evening but I had told Chaz we were going to the parade and by golly we were!! He was bundled in pjs (under his clothes, they are pretty much long johns) a T-Shirt, a sweatshirt, jeans, sock, books, Carhartt jacket, hat, gloves and scarf. He was like a little immobile lump.
He was awestruck. We kept trying to turn so we would could take a picture together, but nooooooooooo! Chaz would grab Ryan head like a steering wheel and turn him back to the parade. Notice in the below he is facing the other way, trying to turn Ryan around. Finally, we were smart enough to put the camera in FRONT of us, instead of turning us around! GENIUS!
Oh and remember how I started this off "The things you do for your kids" Well, I learn it from the best. My sweet parents also bundled up (Love my mom's coat) scarfed down Chick-Fil-A and stood in the bitter cold all to watch a little boy's eyes light up at the sight of the Christmas parade!
