I heart pumpkins!

So when you have kids your fall Sunday afternoons change from Football-watching-naptime hangover-recovery to pumpkin patch-cornmaze-familytime. I wouldn't have it any other way!! Well as you have learned we have a very big families with lots and lots of little munchkins.. so one Sunday we loaded up everyone --MahDah, Clawsons, BabyHills+Solomon and Eli, These Hills+Gaga and Meme (Papa was out of the country and couldn't join us) and headed to the Right Choices Cornmaze.

**WARNING: INSANE AMOUNT OF PICTURES BELOW!!!**

It was VERY cold but chasing all these kiddos kept us warm. These Hills were about 45 minutes late because we took a wrong turn at Albuquerque. On any other day i would blame this move on my husbands lost sense of direction but not today..not a single person in our car saw the turn and it was about 10 miles before we figured out (with a little phone-a-friend) that we had taken the wrong route.. Anyways we were back on track and arrived to have lunch with the bunch. Almost immediately the kids noticed a creek running through the back of the property.. Of course they did .. why wouldn't 7 small children notice water on a freezing cold day???? Good news is we cut them off at the pass and nobody ventured into the water.... bad news, this wonderful picture with my child being a beast.. Oh the memories!

Well after that he was pretty much a perfect little boy. He loved all the activities of the place... Cornmaze, pumpkins, slides, barn with animals, cow train, tire swing, hayride, basket ball, cider, etc.. We stayed we hours! If you have every been around the our family and/or friends you learn pretty quickly that we are a village.. we clean, feed, carry, love, wipe noses, tie shoes, etc to any kid that is near.. and for the most part we are rarely seen holding our own. It is such a blessing to have all these kids so close in age and all these adults/grandparents/great grandparents who love each and everyone..

Ryan with Ben..Solomon wrangling the twins.. Chaz running through the hay bails. Jackson not having a very good time in the wagon. Chaz kept saying "oh no, jackson!" He was VERY concerned about his cousin.. Ben with his messy face.. I had to take a picture before I cleaned him up :) Chaz enjoying the wagon.. Notice the gloves.. he stole them from his Gaga.. He would not take them off.. Sweet Anna.. Jackson and Chaz.. they are such good buddies...I LOVE this picture but there are certain things I find very humorous about it.. 1) Chaz looks about double the size of Jackson but in fact they are about the same size 2) the gloves 3) my child is wearing a hat...he NEVER wears hats Jackson Chaz Ben and Jackson having a great time in the wagon! Chaz Brandon Ben and Jackson in the wagon!
Anna posing in the wagon HA! As mentioned above the cornmaze was MUCH more than a cornmaze and actually the cornmaze was probably our least favorite part....the favorite part by far was the slides!!!! Ryan and I are trying to figure out how exactly to put one of these tube ones in our backyard. I think it is totally doable! There was also another slide that was made with rolling pins.. another huge hit however we will NOT be recreating this one in our backyard. Mike and the boys on the rolling pin slide. Note: My brother-in-law does not wear capris.. his pants just crawled up on the slide :) So while on the rolling pen slide you had to sit on this little board.. I love that Ryan has Chaz completely crunched up into a ball while going down the slide.. Eli and Solomon Cameron and Jackson on the slide. Chaz being a big boy and doing the slide himself! Brandon attempting to be a big boy and do the slide himself. Unfortunately he doesn't weigh enough to hold the board down :) I love that meghan is chasing him down and ryan is standing to the side watching the may lay! Chaz loving the tube slide. Brandon loving the tube slide... Anna and Brandon loving the tube slide.. Ben...well not so much
Chaz and Jackson had a blast riding it down together!
Back to the note that none of us hold our babies.. although my mom would look really funny carrying me around :) Mom and Ben Ryan and Ben having a smiley moment Solomon enjoying the tireswing. Chaz and eli getting ready for the hayride.. I love the looks on their faces.. I had just told them they must sit down and stay away from the gate on the side of the wagon.. They look like they are plotting an overtaking of the adults.. Adorable Solomon and Eli Cam and Jackson. Meghan and Ben Chaz and his Mo. Mike and chaz.. I told chaz "Oops, you closed your eyes....."

Then he kept closing them and refused to open, Mike joined along
There was a huge haystack that the kids loved to jump and play in.. chaz wasn't a huge fan because it was a little wet.
Queen of the haystack
Action shot!
Another action shot!
Anna on mikes shoulders through the cornmaze
Jackson and Chaz in the stroller... loosing steam....Please note Chaz no longer has the gloves.. where are they you ask, well he traded them for the DoodlePro in his hand.. Yep, he traded something that wasn't even his..
Gaga and Chaz waiting for the cowtrain. He insisted on riding it.. so much so that we didn't have time to buy tickets and had to give the man money instead. Meme and Brandon..
Anna on the cowtrain.. Chaz on the cowtrain
Off they go!
Chaz loved the fact that he got the cow with a flag Ours are the cute ones in the back :)

We let Brandon play in the cowtrain once the bigger kids were out.. He loved it! Next year, buddy, next year!
Walking back to the barn. Brandon Meghan Ben Mike Chaz and Ryan.
And of course before we left we had to pick out pumpkins.. Chaz was very particular with the pumpkins he wanted to keep.

and the gloves are back!

Eli with his little pumpkin.
