FINALLY I am not the "OLD" one!!!

So as some of you may know I am just 3 months older than my husband.. well according to him I am WAAAAYYY older then he is.. So when I turned 32 in February he taught our son to say "Momma you are OLD..." Yeah, nice thing for a hubby to do, right?!? Anyways although I am still technically older.. we are finally both 32.. and when Ryan woke up the morning of his birthday guess what his wonderful wife had taught his sweet little boy to say..... "Daddy you are OLD" Paybacks make me smile..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So onto the party!! Ryan's birthday always falls on Memorial day weekend (this year it was the Wednesday before) so I decided to have everyone over for a cookout at our house.. Good times! And as usual I have a ton more pictures of the kids than the adults!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ben is our "interesting" one.. Love me some Ben :)

Chaz still loves his sand table he was nice enough to share with Brandon..
All the other kiddos like the sand table too! again great buy!! Love the look on Logan's face in this picture. HA!
Jackson came over to enjoy the festivities as well!

and sweet baby girl Emily! She was holding her own in this big backyard of boys!
Cutiepie Fletcher...Love this look!
I had a brilliant moment.....I decided to toss out a blanket and have the kiddos do a picnic! Zero mess, they loved it and there was room for the adults to sit at the table! Brilliant I say...brilliant!! I love this "leader of the pack" look on Fletcher's face.. not sure what I did but I think I am about to get a beat down!enjoying the picnic!
Chaz loved the picnic. I am not sure why I haven't thought of it before. It will definitely be a reoccurring theme of the summer. Notice: The boy sweats like his Daddy and has curly hair like his mommy!
Sweet boy!
I think Logan was done for the day..
and I am 100% sure Campbell was done for the day!
The classic Coke cake made by my mother-in-law
It took Ryan and Cameron both to blow out two candles.. Did I mention he was now old?!?!?
Another wonderful thing about summer? A few less rules.. sometimes it is ok to have ice cream at 8 0'clock at night :)
Happy birthday to the best daddy and hubby in the world!!! I am glad you are now OLD with me :) And thanks to our family and friends for enjoying this fun relaxing evening..

Summer fun (probably round 1 of 1 bazzlion)

This Summer is going to be hot.. technically it is still Spring and we have already hit well over the 90degree mark a few times.. but with hot Summer weather comes......
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fun times outside with good friends....skipping the steps to go inside.... and taking a break by the fence (hee hee)
Sweet babies.....
Sweet babies getting so worn out by the sun and sweat that they crash!
Fun cookouts with friends..thanks to good friends like Izzy we are actually able to eat.. sorry honey but the grill is not your strong suit.
Kiddos just happy to kick off their shoes and be outside
Sidewalk chalk.. Oh how I LOVE sidewalk chalk!
Baby feet in the grass.. As you know I love me some baby feet..
Getting down on the ground to play with the kiddos in the grass.. Good times!!
Hot, sweaty.......CRANKY kiddos!
Hot, sweaty..CRANKY kiddos showing me their hot, sweaty, cranky belly!!
Chillin' watching TV--on the back porch--under the fans= a little piece of heaven
Just hanging out .. sweaty & dirty but having a TON of fun!!
and of course we have to gather up all of our toys.. I think it is hilarious how much this boy can (and is very determined to carry) He is a pack mule like his momma!
Summer also means many, many trips to Gaga and Papa's house (not only are they fun.....they have a POOL!!) and when we are up at night there are frogs.. lots of frogs! Chaz thought they were so cool.. he actually touched one (with a little help from Papa)
and what other fun things are at Gaga and Papa's??? Well the Rhino of course!!!
He has such a blast on this thing! I can't believe my little baby is big enough to ride this all by himself!!
Chasing Gaga.. hee hee
Over Memorial Day Henri Ann and Charlie came to visit my parents. We were lucky enough to have a few nights to hang out with them.. Chaz was quite the fan of Charlie (who isn't?!?!) They thought it would be fun to teach Chaz how to fish in the pool. Needless to say he didn't catch anything but he did have a really good time.
and dad retaught me how to cast...
and the baseball game. Oh my goodness, I think this is probably one of the hits of the summer. Chaz loves to play this thing (yes he is in his pjs) and of course Papa wants to teach him the "right" way to play. I have to say he is actually pretty good!
and, like most kids, once he "learns" how to do something.. he has to "teach" everyone else.. Gaga's turn..
quick stop for the morning Fruit Loops...energy food, right?
Well as I said this is probably the first of a bazillion summer posts.. it will be a fun, busy, exciting, exhausting summer.. I hope I can keep up!!!
Bigger boy = bigger Rhino
So as you are aware Chaz is obsessed with motorized toys (aren't all kids?) he has had numerous versions of what he affectionately calls a Rhino.. you know like the big adult vehicle like Papa has.....If Papa has one Chaz needs one too!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So when Chaz became too big for his little Spiderman "Rhino" Papa had to look into getting him a bigger one after all his Momma had a fully function, gas guzzling 4-wheeler at the young age of 5! We won't discuss the stupid human tricks that took place at such a young age. I will just pray that my son doesn't follow in my footsteps. *note: his new one is battery powered as this mommy wasn't quite ready for the gas version.. He is only 2 for goodness sake!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyways, we took Chaz up to Bentonville to stay with my folks for a few days while we went furniture shopping in Dallas. I knew something was up because when I walked into the house my Meme was yelling (literally yelling) into the backyard "They are here, HURRY UP, they are here!!!" I looked at her like she had a few heads because they were never this excited to see me and Chaz was still in the car so I knew it wasn't him that was causing all the co motion... anyways I went on about my business and ventured out to the car to grab some of the 9000 things we bring when visiting Gaga and Papa's house, when I rounded the corner I saw it..... a "big" Rhino... my heart skipped a few beats 1) was my sweet little baby really big enough for this beast of a machine?? 2) oh how excited would my little boy be to see the surprise he was about to receive............
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And I was right... He was in fact big enough and he was SOOOOOO excited (note: he was wearing his train conductor outfit as that is what he wore to school that day..why not???) When he turned the corner he saw it, of course we had to make sure my mom, dad and meme were all outside to see this little one's reaction... Priceless! He said "dis my rhino!! tanks Papa and Gaga" He did not ask who's Rhino this was but rather immediately assumed it was his (in his defense it was parked where the Spiderman little one usually was..) He also clearly knew who the Santa Claus was in this situation!
I cannot get over how big he is.. *tear*
DANGER!!!!!
Such a happy boy.. Thank you Gaga and Papa for spoiling him beyond belief...as long as he doesn't become rotten we will be ok :)
