April fun!!

Ready for some more randomness?? Here we go ... APRIL!! So our biggest accomplishment of April was the building of the playset. It looks me weeks but I finally convinced him to hire our friend JB (who built our beautiful fence) to build the swing set. I did not ask this because I thought he couldn't do it. I just knew he was so busy lately that there was a chance Chaz would be 15 before it was put together. Of course Chaz wanted to help.. He came home from school one day and ran out of the house with his hat on "momma I help JimBob built the big house."

and Ryan wanted to help too! Again, wonderful playset that was built in 2 days. Chaz and all of his friends LOVE it!

We spent one afternoon at Gully Park. I think this is one of the things I miss most about our old house which was just a quick walk from our old house.. now it is a big "to do" to get everything together and in the car for a quick trip to the park. Oh well it is well worth it..

notice Daddy in the back of the train and the little hat of the "conductor"

love him!!
Chaz made me go down the slide so he could "catch" me. **forgive the pasty white arms. I promise to get a tan soon!
After he knew it was safe he headed down.
Chaz was no fan of the zipline.. he was actually very irritated with his daddy.
and of course my goofy husband had to get his turn..
This thing was hysterical and I have to say all the times we have been to the park I have never noticed. Maybe that is because he is getting bigger and my panic of him playing on "big things" is getting littler. Anyways it is a "phone" that has piping that goes under the ground and comes out on the other side of the playground. So the thought is you can secretly talk into it and the person at the other end can hear you.. Chaz would scream into it and then say "Ryan, you hear me??" (btw he is currently calling my husband by his first name) I do not wonder where he gets it because Ryan would yell back "Yes, I hear you little buddy" The funny thing is everyone could hear them.. there was no need for the "phone"
Why wouldn't you lick the fence?!?!
LOVE this!
We also had a few beautiful afternoons in our backyard. Chaz's BFF Fletcher comes over all the time. They are like brothers. They play well, then they argue and then they are sad when they have to leave one another. Too cute!
We found a great use for Ryan when he paces on the phone.. Put the kiddos in the wagon and off they go. They thought it was a blast..
Chaz likes to go in his "little house" and pretend nap...complete with snoring.. he says "momma the little guy needs to nap. I go in the house. Don't come in, I nap"
One Friday I spent the night with my mom--my Dad and Ryan were both out of town. The next morning we were going to go to the farmers market in Bentonville but for some odd reason there wasn't one...Chaz was yelling.. "I go to Farbers Maket" So after a quick regroup we figured the park was the next best thing..
He would not take off his sunglasses..
and the only way he wanted to get up on the playground was to climb this very safe ladder...uh not!
Race to the end!
Riding the spiderman car in Mom's house.. she is brave.. very brave..
Helping daddy work.

My BEAUTIFUL tulips from my front yard! As they were coming up Chaz would drag me to the front door every single day and say "momma, dowes are yours. De beautiful! I like dem flowers"

Ok if you have not had the pleasure of seeing this with your own eyes you are missing out.. My child is a hoarder.. When it comes to his Rhino he puts EVERYTHING in there. I mean everything. I recently took inventory.. Ninja outift, 3 large razorback magnets, Elmo water toy, metal construction square, one of those weird hoop Frisbee, socks, 3 pairs of flip flops, a bat, a bucket, sidewalk chalk and the bucket it came in, 3D sidewalk chalk glasses, a full set of pencils out of the package and the package itself, chapstick, sunscreen, a sand shovel, a sand rake, a sand hoe, 4 memory cards, a razorback car flag, a broken fireman hat, a construction hat from touch a truck, a tire gauge, a log, 6 ice scrappers (we get 2 every year for Christmas in our stocking) industrial ear phones, a watering can, a batman toy from McDonalds, a small kids garden shovel, 4 packs of individual hand sanitizer wipes and the big wheel flag that broke from it's original bigwheel... yes all at once in the back of his "Rhino" and if anything falls out or comes up missing he is very upset.. this day he was trying to put the bench from his little house into his Rhino..
Fletchman playing in the little house..
This is my every night.. I wash kiddo shoes. They have so much pollen and muck that I cannot bring myself to just leave them dirty.
He wanted his picture taken by the flowers he loves so much!

I asked him to stand by the flowers.. he bent down next to a blooming hosta.. not what I intended but cute none the less.
so above where I mentioned the hand sanitizer wipes.. well this is boys finding them and deciding they were pretty cool.. odd..

Happy April!!

"I go see de football players"

So after the shower I headed home and met the boys for nap time. (not us, just Chaz...Oh wait, I DID get a nap this day!) Anyways after nap time we headed down to watch the RedWhite game. Which is the annual scrimmage game for the Razorbacks. Chaz was SO excited in the days leading up to this Saturday. He wanted to see "De football players, the stadium, Big red, footballs." We were not sure how this would all go but were ready for the challenge. We headed out, with storm clouds looming and a chill in the air. Also for some odd reason this "event' that Chaz was looking so forward to also led him to start wearing hats. I know, weird. But since he was old enough to take the hats off he did, he hated them.. until about 2 days before the game. He actually went back to the car (yes we keep some in the car for the hope ..one day, one day he will wear it!) one morning to get a hat to wear to daycare. He walked in and told everyone "I wear my hat, I go see de football players"

The boys properly taking off their hats for the National Anthem.
Chaz and Fletcher enjoying the game.

I can't wait to post the same picture for years to come as they enjoy the Hogs!

THE HAT!! YEAH!!

This would be the poster they give you on the way in.. Chaz decided it was his horn..I am sure the people in front of us loved us! And telling the boy "inside voices" and then him say "but momma we not inside" true..true..what to do!?!?

Daddy on his phone.. shocker..

I did get at least one picture of the game..

Love it!

I love this one.. The look of terror on my child's face is because Big Red was on his way over.. He loved him in a book we have.. not so much in person.

in Chaz's defense Big Red does have tusks.. that has to be a little scary for a 2 year old!

yet we still forced him to say high and possibly give a high five...

notice the legs wrapped around my hubby..He was NOT a fan

Fletch was a little more fearless when it came to BigRed.

As we were leaving (halftime it began to poor rain and was getting close to bedtime) Ryan and I made the dreaded mistake of going into the Razorback shop. Maylay! Sheer maylay!!

All in all it was a great time. AND Chaz used the potty (urinal) 3 times! The diaper stayed completely dry. What a big boy!
