It's my bday.. well was my Bday...

So again, not many photos because of the whole camera miss hap.. but I will say 32 (yes 32!!) was a good birthday. It started out with me getting these absolutely BEAUTIFUL flowers from my parents.. trust me the pictures do no do them justice. Then on Saturday night we gathered a group of family and friends (and 7 children under the age of 4!) and went to Damn Goode Pies. Ryan was so good and went down early to reserve a room. I do not understand why nobody does reservations! Mom and I talked about it on the way there and if I ruled the world you could make reservations.. and you had to be there within 15 minutes of your reservation OR the restaurant could charge your credit card (you would have to give this to reserve) $100 and give up your table. #1 it would make people be on time #2 it will make restaurants more organized for large groups. Perfect world right? Anyways it was a great time! (no pictures... same excuse)

The next weekend we went to my parents house for a birthday party (my dad, brother and Lisa were not able to make it in the previous weekend) In my family we celebrate birthday's in lumps.. the more you can lump together the better.. So when my birthday rolls around we lump in my Uncle Gayle's (which in in January) and my cousin in law Stephen's (which is 4 days after mine)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think he is so smiley because he know he is about to get to blow out candles.. no real interest in the cake or pie.. but candles? He loves blowing out candles!
and he had to help with everybody's candles. See we may lump birthdays but usually everyone gets their choice of cakes, pies, etc.. Below with Uncle Gayle
Then Stephen's
Then mine.. My overall goal was to 1) make sure he didn't accidentally spit on the cake 2) make sure he didn't touch the candles "der hot mommy!" 3) make sure he didn't sneak a taste before we could sing.. I failed at the last one.
What a great birthday. I loved spending it with my family and friends.. and above all my fantastic little man!!!
Although my husband constantly points out that I am older than him (by 3 months..) I love having birthdays. The alternative is much worse and birthdays give you a reason to come together, eat good food and drink good drinks!!
I heart Heart Day!
What a great Valentine's Day! I know it is suppose to be about couples and love and all that mushy stuff but I think it has become more fun with little kids, stickers, lots of hugs & kisses, cookies, valentines cards, sugar highs, etc (sorry honey!!) Note: The pictures are limited as I was still on my old camera..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I decided to take Friday off and have a nice long weekend (we were off Monday for Presidents Day!) Around 3 we headed to daycare for a fantastic Valentines party. Chaz loves all the kids in his daycare but he does have a special valentine.. If you don't remember her from old posts you will when you see her bright shinning smile. We love her and needless to say the 2 year olds are smitten with each other!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spiderman kiss!
Sharing drinks ...true love!
after the fantastic party we headed to Sam's (which is right down the street from daycare) This is one of Chaz's favorite places to visit "I go to Sam's glub" and it was Friday! I usually get fresh flowers for the house on Friday. Yes, I understand the they die = waste of money concept but it makes me happy... Anyways because it was Valentine's Day Chaz decided he wanted to pic out the flowers... here are the beautiful flowers I got!!
I love them...
I asked him why he picked purple and green. He said "I pick purple and green . dat is in the town book" Ah.. I get it! Below is his current favorite book. He refers to it as "de town book"
and on one of the last pages when you get to the market you see this.. From day one I have said "Ohhh are those pink flowers for me?!?!" He always laughs and says "No mommy dowes are for de frog, you get purple and green" and he points to the ones in the purple pot on the shelf.. So I guess he wanted me to have real flowers.. What a sweet little boy!!!
BONUS! Randomness!
Here is some randomness.. Usually I just wait and put all the month's randomness in one blog but I didn't this time. Consider it your valentines present :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I tell you when i want the kid to go to bed it is a synchronized dance.. but when i think he will be able to hang out... he is out for the count.. This was a random day in National Home Center with my parents.. O-U-T like a light!!
My sweet cousin and her family got Chaz some super cool toys for Valentine's Day! One was basically Tinker Toys on crack! Literally you build a structure and toss a sheet over it. Instant fort!!
He loved it and called it his barn.
Chaz decided he wanted me to take our picture because he saw us in the mirror. I tried to convince him it would not show up.. but he insisted! Below is the masterpiece!
and one day he grabbed the camera and started taking pictures (remember i was still using my old camera.. perfect for his little fingers.. Forgive the no-makeup face. I was not feeling 100% and had just woken up from a nap.
and somehow he managed to take a picture of himself!
There was yet another snowday.. Ryan (a.k.a superdad) Offered to keep the muchkin for the day because I had a HUGE day at work and could not. They did meet me for lunch and this is what I saw.... a cute little glow-in-the-dark skeleton! What a wonderful lunch date!

"Daddy, you go time out!"

So I must preface this post by saying my camera is on the fritz. It had a little run in with a sippy cup so it is in the "Shop" Please pray for it's safe and healthy return.. It really is one of my favorite things in life.. With that said you will notice the quality reduction in some upcoming pictures as I had to sift through a box to find my super old camera.. I had to have something in the interim!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So Chaz has decided he has some authority in our house. He has the ability not only to put his toys in time out but daddy as well. Note: he knows better than to try and put me in time out .. Can you tell who is the disciplinary and who is the kid?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was Valentine's night.. I was in the laundry room folding clothes and I hear "Daddy you go time out!" I turn to see Chaz holding Ryan's hand and taking him to the front door (that is where we do time out) He places Ryan in the corner and tells him "you stay for min-ites" note: he did not tell him how many minutes.. but he is trying to do it the way mommy does! He then goes and gets him the bowling toy and soon after a blanket because "daddy you cold" It was one of the cutest things I have seen in a long time!

He left him there FOREVER! I swear he was in time out for 20 minutes. He then went over, told Ryan to "say sorry" and gave him a hug. What a good little mommy!

New favorite treat!

As you have probably been able to tell from recent posts we often have Izzy, Sally and Fletcher over for dinner. A few times back Izzy came up with a great idea.. Toss the kids into our bed around 730 and let them watch a movie. They love it! Fletcher usually falls asleep while Chaz gets up when it is over and says "movie ob-er, I watch Handy Manny" He did not get this from me as I can barely make it through 30 minutes of a movie without falling asleep!
Fletcher has a insane ability of putting his Winnie doll in front of his face right when I want to take a picture. His timing is amazing!
Told you so! What a sweet pea!

Every month has one...January random!

So I don't get sick very often but it seems that every time i have a day off I am sick. We had the week after Christmas off ....guess what? I was sick. Ugh! I really wanted to keep chaz home a few days at the beginning of the week but I just wasn't able to because it felt like a truck hit me! we he was off of school we had many snuggle times.. mostly because I wanted to sleep!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here he thought it would be funny to go get his "blank" and snuggle with me.. He would fake snore and say "momma, I nappin' I seepin'" Silly boy!
We spent a ton of time with the fam over the break. I swear my In-laws house equals NO RULES! Or so all the kiddos think! One of the highest ranked activities is taking all the cushions off the couch and jumping.. Funny thing is Chaz is so OCD like his mommy that he was trying to put the cushions back on the couch while his cousins were jumping.. he was getting really mad!
He has a thing for putting on peoples shoes.. Usually it is my pretty green high heels.. but today it was my mom's tennis shoes.. super cute!
Chaz does not realize my parent's dog spike is about 3 times as big as him.. so he tries to hugs him and make him sit still. usually this ends with a large dog sitting on a small 2 1/2 year old.
Happy Random January! :)
