Summertime=Funtime (more Kim and Emily visit)

More of our fantastic visit with Kim and Emily..

This is chaz taking his first taste of a Krisy Kreme donut...needless to say he loved it (note: his mommy has never had one!)
Swinging with daddy... There are MANY thing i don't condone but I do take pictures :)
Sweet little Emily enjoying my parents swing set.
Chaz decided the swim mat was "night night"
Swimming...YES, swimming at 21 months. He did have a swimsuit on with floats in it but he still managed to keep his bum lower than his head and his head out of the water. I was SO proud!
We would put Chaz on the side of the pool and tell him to wait before jumping in. He would then squat, put his fingers out and say "wait...wait"
Swimming race between chaz and emily

we set up a sprinkler spray mat in the backyard. I think Ryan forgot how cold it was to play in the sprinkler *grin* However, despite the blue lips and massive chill bumps the kiddos LOVED it!

and as with any sprinkler chaz thought it was his water fountain

Whoops! It became a slip and slide
Action shot!
more of the "wait" pose
More action! Needless to say they both slept SO good that night

This was hilarious. chaz decided he wanted to lay down on the lounger.. It was super funny because if you have ever seen these enormous swimsuits it is almost impossible to hold the kiddo much less for them to lay down
The next morning Gma made breakfast for everyone.. Chaz grabbed a biscuit and ran. He also wanted to put on his shoes as that is the porthole to the outside. Here he has both of the above mentioned essentials---closing the door on mommy to enjoy alone time with his biscuit and shoes.. we have added the third essential of outside.. the motorized car..

Don't feed the monkeys!

In mid July Mom and Dad's good friend from Richmond came to visit us. Kim, Dave, Emily and Lacey lived next door to them in Richmond. Emily developed an overwhelming fondness for my dad, and he for her :) So this July Kim and Emily came to Arkansas to spend a few days. I took a day off and we went to the Gentry zoo. The kids had a blast!

Chaz had to show off his self taught taco tongue.. I never thought I would be able to get this on camera but he has become quite the showoff and ham!
The first stop at the zoo was the goat.. man was this a bad idea. You can't tell by this picture but Emily was NOT a fan. Chaz freaked out a little, too! Note to all the parents out there... do the other animals first then if you are brave and willing you can visit the goats. They are very overwhelming.. my mom getting mauled by the goats. Chaz was behind me saying "no, goat, no!"
not sure what he is doing here but it was very funny!
Emily looks a little less than thrilled in this picture but she actually really liked Chaz. She was very good with him and wanted to hold his hand as much as possible. You can tell she is a big sister..

Gma leading his away from the monkey cages. I think he would have stayed here all day if we would have let him. He loved the baby monkeys.

We bought bread at the little store when you come into the park. Chaz loved trying to feed all the animals but got very mad when the ducks ran away rather than taking the bread from him. He chased them all the way around the gated area... "Duck, eat eat!!"
as you can see the duck wanted nothing to do with him..
when we were there it was really cool because almost every species of animal had a baby. There were baby goats, monkeys, camels, ducks, giraffes, zebras, deer, tigers, horses, etc...seriously every animal had a baby!

Yep, he is trying to climb in with the pig. It was a negotiation to get him to stay on our side of the zoo..

We were just walking around the back of the park and this guy comes up and says... "you guys want to pet a baby tiger?" ... uh, heck yes! Chaz thought it was one of his cats from home.. he kept saying tiger.. which the guy thought Chaz was really smart.. I didn't have the heart to tell him one of our cats is named tiger ;)

This peacock scared the poo out of us when he jumped up on the top of the fence... but it made for a pretty picture sweet emily
not even all the way through the drive through of the park.. out, O-U-T, out

Party in the park..

So in the process of moving I have been asked many times what I will miss most about where we live now... I have to say it would be Gulley Park. We literally are a hop, skip and a jump to the park. good news is we won't be terribly far when we move (although we definitely will NOT be able to walk, HA!) On the 9th of July we decided to head to the park and hear some live music. Contagious! They were great and Chaz loved watching all the kids dance and play. So fun!

He pushed his nose up to the edge of his wagon. He thought this was the funniest thing!
Dancing a jig..
My little danger man.. standing on the handle of the wagon.. why wouldn't you stand on the handle of a wagon and drink your milk???
Yes, my husband has a mohawk....

We left the park around 9pm, well after his bedtime. needless to say he was pooped. no shoes, kicked back in the wagon..
